Description
Each bubble is a separate world — the woman blows out Tuscan landscapes that drift through the air like fragile, gilded globes. A woman in a red gown with floral silver-and-gold embroidery and a red headwrap stands in profile amid a vast, rolling valley, holding a red straw in both hands. From it float great soap bubbles rimmed with a shimmering metal-leaf outline; each encloses a fragment of golden-green landscape with fields and hills. Dark, slender cypresses frame the scene.
