Description
Two identical dancers facing the moon, each with a red ribbon pulled taut as a string — and between them, at the centre, a single pink lotus, a false note that breaks the perfection. On either side stand mirror-image women in golden-yellow gowns and turbans; each holds a long, undulating red ribbon stretched toward the silver moon at the top of the canvas. Their feet rest in a pond covered with green water-lily pads; between the figures a single pink lily blooms, reflected in the water. The ground is silver leaf and a narrow dark-green strip of horizon.
