Description
A Sarmatian in cat-skin, the map of Old Poland as cloak, the irony of noble pride. A blue-grey green-eyed cat in a long copper-orange żupan robe with a red sash stands in a full ceremonial Sarmatian portrait; in his right hand he holds a small king chess-piece, in his left a small red horse figure; behind him spreads a great map of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
