Description
Caspar Friedrich in a maritime hypothesis, a window as the aquarium of an uneasy daydream, a whale and a goldfish — two horizons of longing. In a warm ochre-gold room a woman in a red dress stands by the wall with her hands clasped in front; through a half-open window flows not landscape but a deep blue ocean with a swimming whale; on the sill sits a small goldfish.
