Description
A woman touches the monolith the way one touches the edge of one's own understanding — one step from something no language will explain. On a blue-and-crimson slab suspended in a hazy void, a figure seen from behind stands in a loose white gown cinched with a dark red sash, her head wrapped in a white turban; her outstretched hand touches a smooth, black, vertical slab with the proportions of a monolith. Behind it hangs a great, cratered moon. Around them float numerous red spheres of varying size, scattered freely against a grey-green, misty background; the ground is covered in a dense, veined red-violet texture resembling marble or tissue.
