Description
A bow to Caspar David Friedrich — a solitary figure on the shore, gazing at a thin crescent of light above the sea. The dark silhouette of a woman stands on a stone amid scattered rounded boulders, back to the viewer, looking toward the horizon. Above the reddish shimmering sea hangs a narrow luminous crescent; to the left looms the mast of a sailing ship. The sky ripples in warm bands of yellow, ochre and grey.
