Description
If only you were here — longing painted between two silhouettes, fire in a suit, a woman with Vermeer's pearl drifting into the air. In a bright beige interior with monumental arches two figures turn toward each other: on the left a man in a dark suit and flat cap whose body burns in small flame-tongues; on the right a slender nude woman with a blue turban and pearl earring — a quotation from Vermeer — hovers above a metal grate from which steam escapes.
