Description

Ariadne in Mugler's narrow vitrine, a woman-treasure sealed in glass, the solitary ocean of the background. In a vertical composition we see a figure in a black-and-gold see-through gown with rigid sleeves like insect wings; she stands inside a transparent glass capsule against a grey, undulating sea; in the lower right, as the only colour accent, a tiny orange lantern.
