Description
Mask upon mask, a bird in the role of Venetian aristocrat, the irony of costume — who really has the fun at carnival? A figure with the head of a white-and-yellow-beaked fishhawk wears an opulent pale-violet textured gown of dense beadwork and ornament; in the right hand she carries a Venetian mask on a stick, in the left a small mirror; the background black.
