Description
A Renaissance dignitary with the head of a woodpecker, a parody of official portraiture, the irony of the title — must pride come with prejudice? A figure in black plate armour and a red mantle holds a parchment scroll in his right hand and a sword in his left; his head is that of a black-and-white woodpecker with a red cap and a sharp pale beak.
