Description
A time for sleep among poppies, a woman's head sunk into the grass, the dreamy halt at summer's end. In the lower right of the canvas appears the face of a sleeping green-skinned woman with long hair; above her spreads a wind-swept, greenish-gold meadow strewn with vividly red poppies; the painting in a horizontal, dreamlike, painterly texture.
